Days Off
So I was reading a recent thread about vacation time as an investment banker, but it didn't answer one of the questions I had. I've got a good idea of when it's acceptable to request off, and while this may seem like a naive question, do bankers ever get regular days off? Or is working 7 days a week expected?
Bump.
interested as well
It varies by shop, but you should get at least one weekend day free on most weekends at most shops. In fact, many banks now require this. You will also have certain holidays off, but you will often be required to work from home or even sometimes come in on these days. If there a live deal all bets are off, which is true in any deal related field.
I'm speaking specifically for junior investment banking roles.
It depends on your bank and more specifically your group. I usually get most of Saturday and all of Sunday off, but there are groups at my bank who work most of both Saturday and Sunday.
