DB IBD Culture

Hi,

Whenever you speak with people about Deutsche Bank's IBD culture people are very negative.

The feedback about DB is consistent in London, Hong Kong and to a certain extent US.

Can any DB insider exlain why DB IBD culture is so bad and what is exactly that bad?

Thanks Pivot

Whenever you? Or whenever I?

Basically their culture is second tier, which makes you a second class citizen.

One of their bankers I met was wearing a suit with grey checkered socks with red stripes. Another guy I met from there was very short and avoided eye contact while he was speaking with people. I spoke with someone else who was a VP and had really dirty and unpolished shoes, which were square-toed. Take a job there at your own risk.

That's actually ridiculous. I interned at DB in NYC last summer, and the culture was what drew me in over other banks. It probably varies a little from group to group, but people were in general really helpful and pretty easygoing. I had a great experience, ESPECIALLY compared to some of my friends who were absolutely miserable at other BB's...

Not sure how this initially started, but I know that DB's culture is very good. People are approachable, down-to-earth, and smart. Have friends at other banks and culture at DB sounds much better than others.
