Depends on which db team, and if you want to potentially silo yourself into energy, maybe infra.

Cannot speak to DB in NYC, but Jefferies in Houston is a SWEATshop but undoubtedly one of the most consistent and well thought of energy franchises in the A&D space. You will work a ton, but you will learn a ton, and when you want to leave you will have your pick of almost every energy PE shop in existence and likely some infra funds as well.

Do you like energy? Do you want to do something other than energy?

I feel like trying to put two things against eachother without any information on preference is impossible.

Always here to help!

DB unless you are die-hard Houston/energy and want to stay there or stay in energy.

It can be hard to get out of energy or recruit Houston -> NY non-energy PE. Jefferies Houston is a strong group but you will work like a dog and your exits will primarily be to energy/infra firms. DB places well and NY is a good start if you are looking to be there.
