Dealing with constructive criticism

Any advice on how to best deal with constructive criticism?

Understand that it's an essential aspect of the job and that it's what enables us to be better workers / contributors. That being said, recently I've been finding myself dwelling too much on the negatives. I'll get several "looks good" or "nice job" comments throughout the day, but when I get more negative feedback my mind just focuses on that instead of the positive responses from my team. It's getting to the point where I'm constantly overthinking things and psyching myself out.

This is definitely something I need to work on, and interested in how others have learned to cope / move past and just make the best of receiving negative feedback?

We really lack positive reinforcement in banking considering how much pressure we are under. Getting shit done right and on time is expected as the bare minimum. You're an analyst, you've probably busted your ass doing an inhuman amount of work overnight and showed up the next day to deliver more. It's so normalized that we don't even view that as out of the ordinary. How many other career streams do this? You bust your ass to deliver every day, whether it's setting up conference lines for a client meeting, spreading comps or whatever the fuck. 4 PM Friday staffing for a Monday deliverable, yes boss, will get it done. Working through Thanksgiving/Christmas, sign me the fuck up.

Sure we get paid a fuck ton, but positive reinforcement costs nothing and yet it's few and far between. In that void, every piece of constructive or negative feedback feels personal. Perspective is key, look to improve but don't forget the above.
