Debt/Equity Ratio for Publicly Traded Companies? Use Market Cap?
The D/E ratio listed on yahoo finance is that the D/E where E=Total Market Cap or is it bv?
I saw another thread where someone said that you had to use the D/Total Market Cap (as equity) to re-lever beta for CAPM
Market cap.
Are you sure? Then can't you use that debt/equity ratio on yahoo finance to get to debt/tev ratio? For example D/E = .5. Assume debt = 5 equity = 10 TEV=15
