Deciding between Coverage Relationship Management and Levfin

Hi guys,

This isn't for me but it's for someone close to me and as an incoming SA I don't feel that I'm qualified to answer their queries with a degree of certainty.

My friend has just finished a spring insight (a 2 week internship for first year students in the UK), at a Euro BB and has been asked to come back for the penultimate years final round of interviews for the summer program.

The person in question has been given the opportunity to interview for either 1) Coverage relationship management and 2) LevFin. The problem lies in the fact that they not know what they want in banking yet but does not want to hamper her career mobility by choosing an option that would prevent her from transitioning into other banking roles.

They are from a non-finance background and is afraid that they will be bombarded with technicals that might be seemingly impossible to prepare for if LevFin is chosen and also is unsure if Coverage Relationship Management is "mobile" enough if he/she decides that they want to do more technical/number crunching work.

Disregarding exit opps, could someone please weigh in on what they think is the more favorable choice? Person in question is a very people person that doesn't come from a strong math based background.

Thank you everyone in advance!
