Decisions?! Insight appreciated

$2 bn activist, distressed hedge fund vs. $7 bn activist, distressed hedge fund / PE vs. great group at BB IB (think MS, Citi, CS, etc).

About me - currently at an MM IB and looking to lateral.

What do I want to do? I'm a big fan of activist investing and PE (in a one-on-one competition, choosing between the two would be tough). I want to be at a place that either takes significant stakes and gets active in the management of the target or makes control investments. That being said, I believe that gaining solid BB IBD experience would be the most value-added for my career going forward. With BB IBD experience, I believe it could open more doors than currently available, potentially leading to opportunities that might be even more of what I'm looking for. Also, I happen to enjoy banking and could see myself doing that as well (yes, people, some of your colleagues enjoy doing what they do).

Any thoughts?
