DeFi in Spring Weeks CV
Hi,
I'm about to send some Spring Weeks applications, and my CV is not too bad - I'm in the first semester of a European target school and have a good GPA. Still, as I didn't seriously consider attending a business school until recently, I didn't do any relevant internships. I did find my way to DeFi though, because I do like maths and knew someone who liked crypto. I essentially saw low-hanging fruit but didn't want to have any exposure to crypto, which is why I started shorting to create a delta-neutral position and later on learned how to hedge against different kinds of risk and amplify my exposure towards other risks. I only used a bit of money, as I mostly cared about learning and the fun of creating different strategies, but I still created returns high enough to (in y opinion) outweigh the risk of using Crypto and at some last winter, a big wave of airdrops came. I cashed out once uni started and all in all it should be enough to make it possible for me to finish my studies debt-free. I think it's fair to say that I had some success.
I know it is not the same thing as TradFi, but after reading through some applications for our finance club, I noticed that I have a far deeper understanding of finance than (conservatively) 90% of people interested in finance here. Should I put my experience on my CV for the finance sector, or does the stigma associated with crypto outweigh the potential benefits?
