Being at one of those schools with a high gpa + decent networking will get you interviews but advancing will depend on being able to talk convincingly about either past finance experience in internships or about a company/sector you know a ton about in a finance/investing club. The title doesn’t matter what matters more is what you’re able to talk about in interviews. Therefore make sure you have a major project you can talk about from one of those clubs (stock pitch) or from a previous internship and tie it to how those skills would help you in investment banking

Also recruited from a similar target but I had 1 or two internships on my resume so I didn’t really end up talking about any club work
