Delayed start for a 1st year BB analyst?

Hi all,

Situation:

  • Senior, graduating in June with an offer from a BB NYC office

  • On medical leave for the better part of first semester, was only able to pass one of five classes

  • Scheduled to take a 2x load this upcoming semester

I'm wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge involving a situation similar to this one. What would happen if I needed to take an extra semester? I haven't called HR because I don't want to raise any concerns about me graduating on time if I don't need to.

I'm planning on trying to tough it out and finish the 2x load this semester, but I need to figure out what my plan B would be if it becomes too overwhelming. If I needed an extra semester, what's likely to happen? Will most banks let me keep my spot? If so, would I start in June with the next class or start when I graduate next winter? If I can't keep my spot, how do you recommend I proceed?

Thanks

Thanks -- happy to hear that

Does anyone have an idea for whether I'd be starting in the winter or starting with next summer's analyst class?
