I don't think it's under structured finance. It seems like a pretty typical trade solutions group in the spirit of Citi or DB's. Under structured finance, you have Export Finance which is probably more interesting and Energy & Commodity Financing which is the world's top energy finance group. GTS is probably a decent group considering the size of BNP but probably isn't as front-officey for lack of a better word than the groups that are actually in Structured Finance.
Nope it definitely falls under structured finance - that is how its stated in the documents I received from the firm. Thats why I am little confused, not sure how it correlates with the other structured finance groups
My best guess is GTS is a product team whereas Export Financing is more client-facing. In any case, Global Finance gave GTS Best in Europe awards for Trade Finance the last 2 years, so if trade finance is indeed what you want to do, it's a great group.
