Haha, thanks. I suppose that this is excellent advice, in its own unique way.

Let me guess UBS?

Don't worry they are slow as hell. You can start anytime, they don't care.

Probably a few days after the background check is in. Why don't you call the agency which is doing it and ask wtf is taking so long?

Thanks for the thoughts, WhiteKnightDD.

I would rather not attract any more attention to myself. I suppose my question is more of a general one: will these police reports show up on a criminal background check (I think banks probably do a more thorough job than McDonalds?), and will this affect my ability to obtain a summer analyst position and a job later on? Like I mentioned, no charges were filed, and the entire thing was just a misunderstanding.

WhiteKnightDDOnly criminal records. No one gives a rat's ass about your police report unless your going for a job at Homeland security.
Hey WhiteKnight, do you know if police reports come up in a typical background check? I'm worried because I know that banks typically outsource their background check work to a different agency. In this regard, what exactly is HR's role?

NOPE.

Only Misdemeanors and felonies, convictions. Plenty of bankers with a DUI and DWI's lol.

You'll be fine...police reports aren't logged if the charges didn't go forward.

If

Whats the matter? Scared of my little red fuzzy anus? Don't be shy,let me show you the way, give me your hand and I will take you to paradise

Don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm interning at UBS PWM this summer as well, and I haven't heard anything back from them yet. My internship starts in a few days.

On second thought... maybe I should be worrying. Haha.
