Ideally you will find a boutique in N.A, but a back-up should be continuing to work in boutique IB because you already did it. Your story would not flow through well for your junior recruiting if you did something else
The problem is that I'm not sure if I can come back. Last summer they required me to work for at least 2 months but I left 2 weeks early due to a flight that is already booked. I negotiated with my supervisor but the HR lady and the guy who referred me didn't know and got pissed. Also I didn't think I did a very good job... I was just a freshman at that time.
