Deleting pre-IB roles from LinkedIn?

I had to take a slightly longer route to break in and worked a number of boutique IB roles and Big4 management consulting pre-IB.

I’ve noticed a lot of people have clean LinkedIn profiles. I.e university followed by IB analyst and then associate role.

Should I delete my pre-IB roles across no-name boutique and management consulting to make my profile “cleaner”

I’ve removed them as it saves me 10 seconds having to explain I went from a prior life to IB.

I'd say you can eliminate your internships once you list your second job, unless you feel the internships are still very relevant to your career objectives. But if you did a couple of IB internships and then worked FT in IB for two years as an analyst before going to PE ... the extra internships don't add too much.

I agree with the top comment. Keep it! It's your story. Who you are. You're already in IB - and I think people will appreciate the "non traditional" path. Though, time spent at Big4 is hardly revolutionary haha.
