Based on the most helpful WSO content, here’s what you need to know about Deutsche Bank's Assessment Center (AC) for off-cycle internships:

  1. Structure of the AC: Deutsche Bank's AC typically includes a mix of technical, behavioral, and group exercises. You can expect:

    • Technical Interviews: These will test your financial knowledge, including valuation methods, accounting principles, and market trends. Be prepared for questions on DCF, M&A, and LBO modeling.
    • Behavioral Interviews: Focus on your motivations, teamwork experiences, and problem-solving skills. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers.
    • Group Exercises: These assess your ability to collaborate and communicate effectively. You might be given a case study or problem to solve as a team.
  2. Recent Changes: While there’s no explicit mention of recent changes in the WSO threads, it’s always a good idea to prepare for:

    • Case Studies: These are becoming more common in ACs. Practice analyzing data, charts, and presenting your findings concisely.
    • Video Assessments: Some banks are incorporating video-based situational judgment tests. Be ready to articulate your thought process clearly.
  3. Preparation Tips:

    • Brush Up on Technicals: Review key finance concepts and practice with mock interviews or guides like the WSO IB Interview Course.
    • Stay Updated: Be aware of recent market trends and Deutsche Bank’s performance in the industry.
    • Practice Group Dynamics: In group exercises, focus on contributing meaningfully without dominating the discussion.
  4. Timing: Since your internship starts in March, the AC is likely part of the final stages of the recruitment process. Ensure you’re well-prepared to make a strong impression.

If you’re looking for more tailored advice, check out WSO’s IB Interview Course or threads discussing Deutsche Bank AC experiences. Good luck, and remember—confidence and preparation are key!

Yes format has been changed, it's now just 2 interviews, one is motivational, and the other is technical. They previously had a case study round, but they've removed it this year. Good luck!
