Difficulty of switching offices/ locations within BBs

I received a FT 2023 offer from a BB within one of their regional offices, and I was wondering how difficult is it to internal transfer to their NYC office after a year or so working there? Or would it be easier to just lateral to another bank in NYC after working for about a year?

Thanks!

Bump. Generally I've heard if you're a top performer it's pretty easy to internally transfer after 6 months- 1 year. Banks would rather keep you and have you in another office than lose you to another bank. Then they have to waste time recruiting and all the money they invested in you. What tier BB is it if you don't mind me asking? And is it a CHI office? Feel like CHI to NYC transfers more common than any other location types
