direct-promote associate resumes
Quick question on resume formats - if I'm currently a first year associate that was direct-promoted from analyst, should I somehow indicate the time period I was an analyst and then when I was promoted? or should I simply state my title as associate and that I've been at the bank since XXXX? Any advice would be helpful. Also if anyone knows where I can find some example resumes for direct-promote associates, that would be great.
Thanks.
something like this would work:
XYZ Bank -----------------------location
Associate ------------------------dates - Analyst --------------------------dates -Recommend posting your highest title and leaving it at that. They will ask if they need more info.
I was a direct promote as friend of mine was a well.
We structured our resumes as following
Name of Bank_________________________Location Associate____________________________July XX - Present Analyst______________________________June XX - June XX
Then the details.
I did not break out my bullet points by title.
I would disagree with Illiniprogrammer, for 2 reasons. First, by showing both it displays you were promoted which is beneficial. Second, if you didn't put your analyst title it would be implying that the total duration of your job you were at your current position which is not true.
