Do banks pay for masters?
Couldn't find a thread on whether banks pay for employees' masters if they want to do one so I figured I'd make one. Please drop the link if I missed it
I know in consulting or even in PE in Europe it's normal that you get full support from your firm but never heard about it in IBs. Looking at tuition in Europe, especially in the UK, it's absolute madness that they charge >50K£ for a one year program at a good uni. I'd love to do one but it just doesn't make sense if you got to pay from your own pocket.
Any insight is appreciated
Citi pays for masters in finance (post experience) at LBS.
I've seen a couple other banks sponsor specific programs at specific places.
Is LBS the only option? Doesn't sound promising if they aren't flexible with uni and program
Yes LBS and specifically MFin is the only option. And of course you'll have to go back to Citi.
