Do bulge brackets schedule rejection phone calls?

Had some interviews and a recruiter asked to schedule a call with me. Didn't mention the next round or anything. I can't imagine they'd actually schedule a rejection call, though. Thoughts?

Investment Banking 7 Stories Review

“Andre's strong background makes him a very motivating mentor for candidates. He is intellectual and kind, and he used our time efficiently. His feedback was clear, honest and realistic, which I value a lot. He does not just tell people what they want to hear; he pushes them to succeed. He helped me structure my 7 stories and made the whole process much easier. Without Andre, I would not have gotten my 7 stories right. I will definitely work with him again, and I am looking forward to our next meeting.”

Investment Banking Why [Industry] Review

“Andrew was incredibly knowledgeable, understanding, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire session. He took the time to understand the issues I was having, explained everything clearly, and helped me resolve them. What I really appreciated was that he went above and beyond what the session was originally booked for, offering additional advice and guidance on other areas that I hadn't even considered. He was patient, approachable, and clearly knows what he's talking about. I came away from the session with a much better understanding of everything and some really useful advice moving forward. Overall, a great experience, and I'll definitely be booking another session with him. Highly recommend!”

My initial thought was "...why on earth would a BB call you to reject you, they don't care" but I am stunned to hear this

Well, the call I understand. Scheduling a rejection seems odd. It is a pretty straightforward call.
