Hey all,
I've got interviews this week with both the Research and IB divisions of a BB. I just realized that I've spent an incredible amount of time and effort preparing for my ib interview but not my research interview, and that IB is really what I'm more interested in.
Not saying that I will, but if for some reason, I absolutely bomb my research interview, would that reflect poorly on my prospects of landing an offer in IBD, or will it have no effect?

It could. This is for campus recruiting: I interviewed with both the S&T and IBD divisions of a BB. The S&T interview went better than the IBD interview.. but I told IBD I would prefer to work with them. I got the IBD offer and after, the interviewers from S&T told me both divisions got together and decided I was a better fit for IBD.
