How much sway does a resume push from a non-IB person help in IB recruiting? I have a friend who is a BB MD in a non-banking role (S&T). He said he can send me a referral in their system, but he also explained that literally any bank employee can do this also, so he isn't sure how much weight it holds. Can non-bankers help out at all in recruiting?
