Do SA hours affect FT recruiting?
I had a rough go of it this year during SA recruiting, receiving no offers from any of the BBs with whom I interviewed. Finally, after much scrambling around, I received an internship offer from a European investment bank (comparable to Soc Gen), but the firm has a rule that SAs can't work more than 35 hours each week. Since I am a junior, and this is the last opportunity I have to get a summer position, will the 35 hr/week limit hurt me significantly during the FT recruiting process? Will it affect my standing at all, or will it just be good to have a position somewhere in investment banking on my resume? Thanks.
