Do US firms hire from top UK university campus?

The high from actually getting an (conditional) offer (for Msc at lse) is now starting to fade and i realize that it would be extremely difficult actually getting a job in UK as a foreigner(asian). That too, in one of the most competitive industries ever.

I have applied to uni's (but only for M.stat) in US and finance at HEC (R2) but so far I havent had any response.

I'll be set to finish my masters in mid 2018 and i guess by then it would be clearer so as to what rules and regulations the firms need to follow regarding employing foreigners but its too big of a chance to take.

It would be really helpful if anyone in the industry is able to shine some light on 1. what the situation is regarding hiring in both US/UK, 2. where it would be relatively favorable for an international student to get a job 3. if i were to try and apply at us firms after attending lse, the challenges I would face

Just from personal insights throughout 3 recruiting cycles: 1. UK gives out fixed quota for international hires. That said, once you have an offer, it's almost guaranteed to obtain a work Visa. US still operates a lottery system. 2. Investment banks in the UK definitely still hire international students (non-EU). I have friends who are Asian like you, still receiving top-tier offers. But they have more to prove and a strong record of relevant internships. 3. Firms in the US have enough talent domestically from their own universities to ever look elsewhere. Put yourself in their shoes, why would they hire a student from Asia, having studied 1 year in the UK without experiences in the US (my assumption)? Any family ties or American citizenship to convince them otherwise would be nice.
