Do you really care about finance?
2nd year analyst at an investment bank and I’ve been told I’ll be getting promoted to an associate role.
Comp is great and all, but I’ve been thinking about whether I actually care about any of the work that I do - and was wondering whether other guys had the same thoughts.
I don’t feel like I’m great at my job (even if others think so), nor do i feel particularly invested in it.
Looking for any advice or insights from people who have had similar thoughts or made career pivots - did you find something you were interested in and were you fine sacrificing comp?
