Does a reply to an interview thank you not mean anything?
Sometimes I send out thank you notes after interviews and I get very nice but cordial responses. Does this mean anything? Does it mean anything if we didn't get one? I try to make all of my thank you notes pretty tailored to the conversation we had during the interview.
I hate this way of thinking. It's all about exchanging things. You thank the interviewer because they took their time out to sit down with you. If you look to get nothing in return from them, and still thank them, the honest intention matters. Keep saying thanks to people. It does matter.
