Does it get better?

Halfway through my SA internship. Getting slammed with work everyday, not getting out of the office earlier than 11:30, commute home means I get back around 12:30-1am everyday. Almost always one of the last to leave the office on the entire floor. Start up again 6:30. Expected to work weekends, worked July 4 8am-10pm. My analyst overwhelms me and is always rushing me on deliverables. Work is very trivial, not learning much. Team doesn’t have a lot of face time with me unless they’re giving me work. Half the team doesn’t even come to the office, I’m expected to, feel demoralized. OT is capped so I’m also many hours for free. Is this what it’s all about, does it get better, am I just being soft? Any advice appreciated.

Would recommend living closer to the office for FT….1130 is a pretty typical night at most banks so don’t see that getting better, working all day on a holiday sucks and doesn’t generally happen, but also not unheard of if on a tight timeline….honestly I’d recommend getting out of nyc, have generally seen satellite offices are a little less intense
