Does your legal name include your middle name?
If a document asks you to list your legal name is that you first and last name or does it include middle too ?
Do Middle Names Matter?
There’s much debate over what constitutes legal name. The Social Security Administration does not consider a middle name or suffix as part of an individual’s legal name. But many other legal sources say a full legal name includes middle name.
In general, it’s probably best to include your middle name if the form asks for full legal name. However, as long as first and last name match up, then there isn’t usually a problem.
