Don't love the job but not sure what else I want to do
Second year analyst here. I haven't really disliked my time in banking so far, but haven't LIKED it either. I feel like I've gotten used to the job and am decently comfortable where I am , but I don't see myself being a senior banker one day. That's why I'm conflicted on whether or not to explore other options, like PE or corp dev, right now. I don't feel any urgency to jump ship since things aren't bad where I am, but I do feel like I eventually will want to do something different. Kind of get what I mean? Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
Following.
Same man. Recruiting PE just cuz but feel like it’s ultimately just filler until I figure out what I want to do
I guess like that's why I got into IB in the first place. Like "oh, great place to start a career then you can figure out whatever you want to do next." If I do PE recruiting, it'd feel like more filler...
Same. I think about leaving constantly but not sure what I’d like to do that and I don’t want to take a massive pay cut.
You are literally me (ignore title am a second year too)
