Doubt regarding IB associate recruitment in the UK

This question actually doesn't relate to me as I am just gonna start uni next year but I was researching about IB recruiting and was just curious to learn more and maybe someone recruiting for associate positions might find it helpful as well.

1) What is the actual IB associate recruiting process in the UK? because obviously UK ain't got too many B schools and from what I have read online only LBS places well into IB.

2) Do UK firms just recruit out of M7 and other programs in the US to fill the associate spots?

3) Or do more UK analysts choose to stay in banking and make it their long-term career?

If anyone is familiar with the process it would be helpful if you could share some of your knowledge. Thank you.
