Yearly base for Associate 1 would start from $115k up to $170-180k for highest paying players
115k is very low for assoc 1 unless your talking about mm or dubai based players.
Dubai does not have 40% income tax. Those numbers seem to be better than the U.S.
I know. Higher end of his range is what I expected for assoc 1, because I know people in MBB dubai 3-4 YOE get you around 135k-140k so I expected IB equivalent to be slightly more which is why I am assuming he is not talking about BB/EB for the low end of his range.
Low end of range is for local boutiques. You do have some weaker paying international IBs coming in at $120k (Standard Chartered, HSBC, BNP).
Incomparable with consultants who usually only make 10 - 20% bonus, therefore, total comp for IB would still be stronger, though weaker base.
They are not getting 135k - maybe USD equivalent salary. Typically MBB at 3-4yrs are making net 25k AED a month
