What is the process like for lateral entry to a first year banking analyst role in North America? I come from a research background so I would typically expect a phone interview and many technical questions but we don't do case studies. For lateral entry do you get asked about previous work? Do you have case studies? Do you have to know every single type of modeling used in investment banking?
