ECM London

I got an offer for ECM at one of the big I-banks in London (I would join at the analyst level). It sounds like a great opp for me. What do you think? It's just an a oral agreement so far. I`ll receive a written covenant the next days. For comparison: Can anybody tell me about the average salary in London? What are the ex opp in ECM?

Thanks

As far as I know the starting salary for an analyst is £35k which is 50k(euro) and about $67k which sounds pretty good. You could expect anything from £10000-£70000 bonus depending on which bank you work with and how good you are.London is rediculously expensive may I add.I've spent time in NYC and time in London and my buying power was far greater in NYC. Where r u based right now?

Go after Dresdner when your done in London. They have a pretty decent set up in Germany.Goldman and ML also do business there. I'd be more worried with landing a place in London first and then figure out what you want to do.After working there you'll realise that there are alot more doors open to you.
