So I just signed an offer at an EB (EVR, Moelis, Laz) for next summer and I saw a clause in the offer letter that you get drug tested, and I thought only the BBs drug tested. Is that just noise or do EBs actually drug test?
Yes, EBs drug test. I was tested for mine. They give you plenty of notice.
For what it’s worth, I was not tested when I interned at a BB. So, maybe just don’t be a moron and smoke in May/April when there is a potential for you to get tested.
How much notice though? Like a couple weeks or more than a month?
You get about 1.5-2 mos (at least where I worked). You get a coupon for a drug testing center and are instructed to complete the drug test before you start work.
Based on firsthand knowledge I can tell you 100% that all three of those banks do drug testing.
