Entrepreneur to banking
After reading the "If You Could Do It All Again..." and the helpful comments with regard to entrepreneurship on this board, I started wondering what your experiences are with people having started their own company eventually moving into banking.
I am curious about this as I will be doing an internship at a top boutique this summer, after which I still have one year to graduation. Next to this I will start a company with a friend, which I am very much looking forward to. Although I believe we have a golden idea, I still take the overall chances of being succesful as an entrepreneur into account, meaning there is a large possibility that the company goes bust in a year or two/three.
Therefore I would like to know more about your specific experiences with regard to the possibilities of moving into banking or other industries after having started one's own company...
The main issue that you will be faced with is the rigid corporate structure and hierarchal structure of banking. Entrepreneurship and banking don’t necessarily mesh well.
