Equity Research Summer 2012

I will be working this summer as a summer intern in the the Equity Research division at a Bulge Bracket firm. I still need to pick a specific industry I would like to work with. I want to leave myself with the most option after I finish off my first few years in Research. Does anyone have any ides about which industry would give me the best exit opps ( to PE or a hedge fund)?
