Error on Resume Standardized Test (SB for advice)
My parents for some reason hang on to old grade reports and test scores. Was looking through and saw my ACT score was 1 lower than I had it placed on my resume (33 instead of 34). I honestly don't know how I forgot my actual score, after all 1 point is nothing worth lying about and now I'm getting anxious because of the offer I have accepted (background check hasn't started yet).
Should I alert HR about this discovery? I took the exam like 5-6 years ago and must have subconsciously convinced myself I obtained a 34 (still same 99% percentile).
If this seems ridiculous I apologize but years of lurking on this board has made me incredibly paranoid.
Are they even going to verify the score?
I mean it's on my resume? Doesn't the Background check validate all that's on your resume? Or am I completely missing the mark?
gross double post myb
I'm under the impression that HR cannot request your ACT/SAT scores from Collegeboard. You are the only one that can request them if asked from HR. This includes your GPA/College transcripts, I believe. Look into this but I'm pretty sure they can't request scores at least.
So should I inform HR of the mistake? They said they'd contact me during January (probably to initiate the background check).
