escp MSc finance

Curious about my chances. I was wondering if a third class student with 710 gmat (classic) and one relevant off cycle has a small probability for ESCP MSc Finance. I noticed they didn’t specify minimum degree classification on their admission page.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, ESCP MSc Finance is a competitive program, and while they may not explicitly state a minimum degree classification, a third-class degree could present a challenge. However, your 710 GMAT score is strong and could help offset the lower degree classification to some extent. Additionally, having one relevant off-cycle internship is a positive factor, but it might not be enough on its own.

To improve your chances: 1. Strong Application Narrative: Clearly explain the reasons behind your third-class degree and highlight any mitigating circumstances or growth since then. 2. Work Experience: Emphasize the relevance and impact of your off-cycle internship. If possible, gain additional internships or work experience to strengthen your profile. 3. Extracurriculars: Showcase leadership, teamwork, or finance-related activities to demonstrate a well-rounded profile. 4. Networking: Reach out to current students or alumni from ESCP to gain insights and potentially strengthen your application.

While your chances might be slim due to the third-class degree, a polished application and strong GMAT score could still give you a shot.
