Am at a nearby group and know a few people who work here and will comment on the following:

- Top group, historically very strong in UMM sponsor backed sellsides, AutoTech, TravelTech, AdTech

- New Goldman partners (including the head of global tech) bringing in large cap semi's clients, industrial software clients. Probably a close fourth to GS/MS/Q although exits to MFPE at the same level as the interview process selects for very technical & sharp kids

- For exits, will get all the looks a GS/MS will get for MF PE, recent exits include Francisco Partners, TB (a couple), Warburg, GA, TPG Growth with other MF's like Silver Lake and Vista also having prior analysts (though not as frequent)

- Hours are 100+ average and up to 110/120 on bad weeks

- Culturally, pro's are that the group doesn't have a facetime culture (some partners rarely come into the office at all), though this also creates some downsides for learning experience/camaraderie; fair amount of outings and things of that nature. Analyst class is very friendly and nice, VP's are very stellar and very supportive

- Cons are: huge chasing culture, constant firedrills, not a lot of camraderie within the group, very buttoned-up and hierarchical, not a huge mentorship/relationship building culture, often year of in-fighting between members of the team, yelling. 3/6 first-year analysts quit less than a year in a few classes ago because of the unrelenting hours and stress. Analysts are treated as a cost center and nothing more, are not invited to client meetings/have visibility into discussions past the pitch decks getting turned in, SMD's generally don't know who you are

- Ultimately have a ton of respect for people who can make it through their time in this group, it's a very technical group with sharp people/good dealflow/exits but one of the most demanding groups out there

As mentioned above, definitely a sweaty group but they are good at what they do. The new additions to the seniors makes it an exciting team to follow and am personally interested to see if the culture of the team will change because of it.

Our analyst exits are great and we're effectively WFH 5 days a week so I don't care what ppl say, 1 of the best if not the best group to work at

You know how the process is? I have a coffee chat call with an analyst from the office this week don’t know if it’s interview
