So me and my GF both applied for summer intern positions at various banks. Somehow, the only offer we each received was for exactly the same bank, exact same division, exact same group. WTF do I do?
She's really excited about spending all that time working together. I, however, am not wearing the same rose-tinted specs. I imagine working 100hr weeks together would put a strain on even the strongest relationships. Let's assume for a normal non-banker:
7 x 8hrs = 56hrs of sleep per week 5 x 10hrs = 50hrs of work per week (assuming commutes and whatnot) 7 x 3hrs = 21hrs of random you time (friends, sports, working out, reading, bathroom, whacking it, etc...)
Of the 168 hours in a week you would not spend ~127hrs with your gf leaving you with 40 or so hours that could be spent with the gf.
You would literally see your gf 100+ hours a week. That cannot be healthy for any male. At least you can get laid late night at the office.
