Exit Opps for IBD Strats?

Hi there,

Has anyone heard about the exit opportunities available for IBD Strats group? (GS) Haven't seen any similar groups at other banks (quantitative approach to investment banking/programming blend). Curious if anyone knows what analysts and associates have done after this.

Thanks!

Dying of stress? Everything I've heard about GS Strats IBD is that the place is a total meatgrinder.

That said, it is honestly front office.. IIRC, these guys maintain relationships with insurance companies and a lot of financial institutions.

Without firsthand knowledge, my guess is that the exit opp is insurance; maybe also general quantitative finance, statistical programming, etc.

What would do these guys do in IBD strats, I wouldnt have thought they were beholden to the clients directly

guessing you're referring to corporate development/strategy roles. it's what it sounds like, the investment bank's corporate development/strategy teams.
