Exit Opps: Private Credit vs. Corp Dev

After over a year in banking, I've come to realize I hate working long, unpredictable hours and want to exit to something a little less intense, ideally 50 hours a week on average. I finally decided today that I'm not interested in doing PE, GE, or VC and have narrowed down my preferences to private credit or corp dev (preferably in tech).

I've done my research on both but I don't see people compare these two roles side by side often. Curious to hear pros and cons of choosing one over the other, i.e. more varied opportunities down the road in corp dev with the tradeoff of lower pay compared to private credit.
