Experience After Banking

It seems that I am hearing more and more stories of individuals being burnt out of banking now that I have been networking and speaking to several individuals.

In your experiences and friends, where do most go (for those that dont jump to PE but rather want to quit the industry)

Additionally, out of an analyst class what percentage drops after year 1? year 2?

one of my best friends quit his post at a top group at GS/MS after one year and left NYC to move to L.A. to get into the entertainment industry... he's now training to become an agent at a top talent shop (he had to be on the desk of an agent for 18 months first though) and says he would not go back to banking for the world.... I went down and visited him last time i was in the states... lots of hot honeys everywhere, work out all day and party all night, tons of spare time, etc.... makes pathetic money though.

Not a path I would choose, but to each their own.

He'll make good coin eventually though no? If the answer is yet, that sounds like a fucking awesome deal.
