Feel like I cant keep up on day 2 of the job

So I started just FT a couple days back, we are going through training right now. There are some kids in my group who were here before as interns. They and some others are banging through these videos/quizzes/exams like no big deal, and I feel left behind trying to catch up. I also feel like they already know and are close with so many people at the firm, where as I make first intros and everything feels way less personal than their connections. Strategic meetings I understand quite well, but I feel out of place and behind. Anybody been in this type of spot before? I am at home trying to catch up right now feeling like I should have picked a different job.

 

Very normal. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Give yourself time and grace - people aren't expecting you to know everyone like the prior interns did, you'll figure it out quickly. The first 3 or 4 months will be tough to ramp up but you are about to learn so much, these skills will be valuable for years to come. You are 100% qualified to be there, just give it time and do your best every day
