Dude, i'm serious. I work in banking. But I never made any new female friends since I started. I only get bitches at bars. Didn't know you can become friends with women u meet at bars/clubs?

And weren't you the one asking how to get into clubs with dudes and ZERO girls. Man I am still in school as I assume you are and if you don't get laid/talk to girls now don't think becoming a banker will automatically turn you into a pimp. If anything it will be much harder to pull girls being in front of a computer 100 hrs a week.

you mean nice girls who may have the potential to be a grilfriend? or "just friends" kind of friends? if it's the latter, why it has to be a female? so you can go shopping together, put on make up for each other...?

to be honest: are you gay? e.g. that's a common explanation for why some men enjoy platonic female company (they just feel more comfortable with their interests).

If that's the case you may be out of luck considering the personality of women bankers (of which they are few to begin with). But please consider that there are benefits to having outside-of-work friends too. I'm straight so I only usually befriend females for romantic interest but here's an example: just the other day I went into a B&N to get out of the rain and went over to browse the magazine section. I saw a girl reading an art magazine and the cover had the shark-in-formaldehyde art piece of daniel hirsh. very controversial. and so I asked her about it and got into a discussion. pretty soon her friend came over (I thought she was alone but apparently came with a friend). We introduced ourselves. And we started to talk about places we like to go, etc. --There you go- just met two interesting females.

but no you don't have to be gay to want women friends that you aren't interested in romantically. c'mon man. you saying you don't have a single woman friend that you aren't interested in romantically, who you can see as different from a dude friend nonetheless?

You know what pisses me off. When a guy is friends with a really hot girl and refuses to admit he wants her. Like I understand it's not worth risking a friend blah blah blah but don't tell me that if she offered you wouldn't go for that.

@Island, I have, but those friends aren't the ones I met since I started working in banking. My question was, once you started working in ib, where do you meet women that you eventually became friends with? My days are typically work and then home. Aside from that, I usually don't meet any women other than the ones at clubs/bars.

so it's all about the ultimate question: is there real friendship between men and women?

When I read this macho crap - banker's talking about all the models and sex they're getting, it reminds me of being at school as a 12 year old boy listening to the virgins talk about how much sex they were getting.
