FIG Interview for SA - HELP NEEDED!! (Originally Posted: 12/07/2010)
Hi everyone,
I'm having an interview with the FIG group at a BB in a few days for a summer internship. I have done a search here and it seemed like there's not much up here concerning interviews for FIG.
Can anyone who has interviewed for or worked in FIG share some ideas on what questions they may ask? I do have some finance exp so I'm worried that they might go into a bit more technical with me.
I'd relax. If it's a SA gig they won't expect you to know all the details of FIG. Your basic accouting and financial theory should be the bulk of the interview.
However, I would be familiar with common multiples (Price / Book, Price / Tangible Book and P / E) specific to FIG. It wouldn't hurt to know the theory behind using a DDM as opposed to DCF as well which should be relatively straightforward (regulatory capital etc.).
All of the above info can be found on this forum.
