Fighting over an Offer decision

A friend of mine didn't get an offer from a bank he interned in this summer. (Think a reallly great spot, like MS M&A) an associate's review f*ed him over, but weren't entirely accurate. his analysts agree with him and think it is a really bad situation he is in. should he say something to hr/staffer/anyone higher up on the ladder?

He can certainly try, but should understand that these decisions, once made are vitually impossible to reverse.

The best thing he can do is to reach out to the non-analysts to solicit feedback as well. Analysts are very prone to think that they have a clear picture of the reality of a group, but often as they become more senior they come to realize how skewed their perceptions were.

He should try to figure out whether this was really the case of a one-off review sinking him. Usually, that is not the case.

Either way, my best advice would be to tell him to be prepared to move on. While there's the possibility that that door might re-open, in all likelihood it will not.
