Had an interview with the MD. He asked my background and work exp at the previous BB Bank, and then I started asking him questions about his career and sector outlook. He didn't ask me anything technical or any specific question about the sector. The conversation lasted for like 20-25mins. Has anybody else experienced this during their process? Would it mean I might get an offer?

In my experience MDs aren't the ones who grill you technically. Those are usually VPs or Associates. Probably a good thing if it was a chill conversation.
