Finance Club Interview tomorrow

Hi, I’m a freshman trying to get into the Most prestigious Finance Clubs in my country (LatAm).

There are 3 stages for this admission process.

The first one is tomorrow, that basically is a group interview with other aspirants to the Club. Some club members have told me that the people in charge of this interview aim for being rude to you in this process, and they want to know how do u react to this and also how do u show leadership

  • If the group is leaning towards a common solution, consider playing devil’s advocate (politely) to showcase critical thinking.

6. Body Language and Communication

  • Maintain good posture, make eye contact, and use open gestures to convey confidence.
  • Speak clearly and concisely. Avoid rambling or using filler words.

7. Prepare for Behavioral Questions

  • Be ready to share examples of past experiences where you demonstrated leadership, handled conflict, or worked in a team. Use the SOAR framework:
    • Situation: Briefly describe the context.
    • Obstacle: Highlight the challenge.
    • Action: Explain what you did.
    • Result: Share the outcome.

8. Control the Narrative

  • Remember, the interviewers will discuss your performance afterward. Make sure your actions and words leave a positive impression. Embed qualities like teamwork, resilience, and leadership into your behavior.
