Yeah possible but not very smart. If you know you want to do IB now then go do IB. It's going to be tougher getting into a strong business school as an FA and it's not going to leave you with really any options outside of the wealth management space.

You're only a freshmen, why are you giving up on banking so quickly? The key is getting a junior year internship. Having the name Merrill Lynch on your resume as a freshman puts you above most people.
