Finished my 1st year

Hey all, I just finished my 1st year at a BB Fof and want to move to banking. Anyone knows how I should go about doing this? I feel as if they all recruit only current undergrads. I'm one year out. what paths should I take?

Now's a really bad time to lateral since all the 1st year analyst just hit the desks. Your best bet is to cast a wide net of relationships with bankers at every single BB/MM and hope that at some point a lateral need comes up. I don't think headhunters would be too interested in you for an IB role to be honest since they've probably got more than enough MM/low tier BB IB analysts trying to move up a rung who are frankly more qualified than you.

Start contacting small boutiques. The usual path is to go boutique -> BB, but in this instance, you definitely need to start at the bottom.
